About Maple Valley...

The good life means different things to different people. Whether it's skiing and snowboarding...horseback riding on miles of trails... swimming and boating...... biking along the Cedar River Trail...stopping to watch the spawning salmon...or just spending time with family and friends in a rural atmosphere... Maple Valley, a suburb approximately 20 miles Southeast of Seattle, Washington, has a lot to offer!

Nestled beside the picturesque Cascade Foothill Mountain Range, Maple Valley  is a growing community rich in History and recreational opportunity. Skiing and hiking are only a 45 minute drive away at,Crystal Mountain, or Snoqualmie Summit. Boating and jet-skiing on Lake Sawyer, or swimming at Lake Wilderness are some favorite warm weather activities. There are several other small, private lakes; Pipe Lake, Lake Lucerne, Lake 12 and Lake Retreat in the area if one is looking for Waterfront property. The Cedar River trail runs from Landsburg in Ravensdale, all the way to Renton. Bikers, walkers, and roller-bladers enjoy the trail rain or shine! Maple Valley also offers 3 nearby golf courses, easy access to freeways and shopping as well as the award winning Tahoma school district. All of these things combined with the friendly small town atmosphere are just a few of the reasons so many have chosen to call Maple Valley home!

The greater Maple Valley area is defined by the
Tahoma School District boundaries and also includes Hobart, Ravensdale & part of Renton. The City of Maple Valley, which incorporated in 1997, is where you'll find traditional subdivisions and retail shops. The rural portion of Maple Valley falls within unincorporated King County and is comprised mostly of homes on acreage. Population is approximately 29,600 (City of Maple Valley approximately 17,000). Median age is 33 and median income is $74,781.
