Several years ago, I achieved the Certified Luxury Home Sales Specialist Accreditation. There was some coursework involved and the Accrediting Institute, required a track record of selling “Luxury” properties in the area. Their qualifying benchmark for the category of  “Luxury” property was that if it sold for 150% or more of the Average Sales Price. Here in Maple Valley, as of today, the average Sales price is $281.483. According to the Institute’s definition, a “Luxury” home in Maple Valley would be any property listed or sold for more than $422,000 and change.
