In 2009, there were 64 Single Family homes listed as “Rented” on NWMLS. Rental properties are entered into the MLS database as a courtesy to the membership and because rental listings are not required to be entered (as other properties for sale are, it’s entirely likely these numbers could be higher. But working with what we have, it’s interesting to note that of those 64 properties listed and rented, the highest listed rented amount was $2600 per month and the lowest was $550.The average monthly rent for ’09 was $1663. Compared to 2008, this is an increase in units rented of about 15%. The high rent for ’08 was $3250 while the low was $1250. The average rental amount was $1851.
